Paul Kingham FCA
Paul trained at Grant Thornton’s Liverpool office, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1980. In 1982 he commenced a 2 year tour with Ernst & Young in the Gambia. On his return to the UK he founded Kingham & Co, with Nick Liu, in 1985. To fund this new venture he took employment as Chief Accountant of a large national training company. This was a successful private company based on the Wirral, providing retail training and recruitment services throughout the UK. The Company had ambitious expansion plans and Paul was involved in much of the acquisition and disposal activity. The Company successfully floated on the London Stock Exchange in 1990, by way of the 'reverse takeover' of CRT Group plc. This provided access to the City Institutions and enabled the policy of growth by acquisition to continue. In 1999 Paul rejoined the accountancy practice, managing a new office in St Helens. His skills and experience gained in the corporate sector bring a valuable dimension to the services we can offer.
